According to a report of TOI The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways ( MoRTH) has mandated all vehicles to be equipped with a high security registration plate ( HSRP) that have been sold prior to April 1st, 2019.

What is HSRP?

A high security registration plateis comprised of aluminum and is secured to the vehicle by two non-reusable locks. How much does HSRP cost?

The central government has not set a price limit for HSRP so the price could differ in various states. In the average, HSRP cost is around Rs 400 for two-wheelers. It can go up to 1100 Rs for four-wheelers based on the classification. The stickers with a colour code can be placed on vehicles that have an HSRP.
